چکیده
The aim of the study was to explore clinical and anatomicalchanges occured after Sciatic nerve section in weaning age rabbits.Twenty-five rabbits were used this ranging from 1-2.5 months.Divided into five subgroups according number survival days(W7) (W14) (W30) (W60) (W90). Surgery performed under generalanesthesia. sectioned using a small surgical scissor.Clinicalay few days later, sign right hind paws paralysis wasobserved clearly. results revealed gap formation between thetwo stumps [proximal distal], increases on dayfourteenth.During following two weeks, ulcers began appear skin at thedorsal side ankle joint, there also an enlarged popliteallymph node. Within 30-60 another area invaded by ulcer withor without bone exposure, anterior part posterior thehind limb. After 90 days, severe ulceration exposurewith lymph nodes extended ventralside hindlimb. Results showed gradual worsening thecondition improvement peripheral nerves.

Case Report: An Uncommon Anatomical Variation of the Sciatic Nerve
The sciatic nerve is a largest single nerve of the lumbosacral nervous plexus. This nerve innervates all muscles of the leg and foot as well as the flexor muscles of the knee joint. Many variations in the direction and relations of sciatic nerve were described. The current case report presented a thick septum situated posterior to the sciatic nerve and its branches spread throughout the back of...
متن کاملPre-diabetic Clinical Changes Induced by Low Doses of Alloxan-Streptozotocin Cocktail in Rabbits
Background & Objectives: Alloxan & streptozotocin are used for inducing diabetic models. Their combination has been used to reduce the individual chemical dosage and minimize the side effects. Present investigation was aimed at studying pre-diabetic clinical changes induced by low doses of Alloxan-STZ cocktail in rabbits. Methods: New Zealand White rabbits, 1-1.5 kg body weight, were administe...
متن کاملA Rare Anatomical Variation of Sciatic Nerve and its Relationship with Piriformis Muscle
Sciatic nerve is the thickest nerve of the body which is formed by ventral branches of L4, L5, S1, S2 and S3 of spinal nerves as a part of sacral plexus in pelvis. It leaves the pelvis via the greater sciatic foramen below piriformis muscle and descends between the greater trochanter and ischial tuberosity, along the back of the thigh and dividing into the tibial and common peroneal (fibular) n...
متن کاملAge-Dependent Regeneration by Using Electromyographical Study Foliowing Sciatic Nerve Injury in Rat
Purpose: There are extensive evidences that show axonal processes of the nervous system (peripheral and/or central) may be degenerated after nerve injuries. Axonal regeneration is relation to various factors. In this investigation we decided to evaluate the effects of nerve regeneration age-dependent on injured rat sciatic nerv. Materials and Methods: For this study, the right sciatic nerve of...
متن کاملP187: Dose-Dependent Delay of Wallerian Degeneration Induced by Dexamethasone after Sciatic Nerve Transection in Rat
Wallerian degeneration is an innate immune response which occurs after some kinds of nerve damages such as neurodegenerative disease and acute axonal injury. In clinic, dexamethasone as an anti-inflammatory drug has been used for many years to treat nerve injuries. In present study, we aimed to study the effects of various doses of dexamethasone on the Wallerian degeneration in rat. Twentyseven ...
